Alan Dibley Visits Royal Holloway

Alan first visited Royal Holloway on 17 May 2000 and brought his new mouse T8 (Thezeus VIII) along for the ride. It is stepper motor based, using two thin ('pancake') steppers running from 12V controlled by a Dallas 8051-based micro with Lithium battery backup and an onboard RS-232 port. He demonstrated the rather pretty trace displays that it produces when running and waxed lyrical on the merits of a deep junk box when constructing mice.
