Re: Back emf control of DC motor

Hi BengKiat

There was a recent project in an electronics magazine that monitored back emf for motor speed control using a PIC microprocessor and an H bridge. The project was for a model train controller.

I have scanned in the relevant parts of the circuit and description and put them on my website as the file is large (around 8mb)

It is in Microsoft PowerPoint format which I'm sure you can read OK

You can access it at
www.davidhannaford.com/robots/backemf.ppt

It takes a while to download, so be patient.

Hope this is useful to you and anyone else that wants to try out this technique.

Cheers
David Hannaford

Subject: Back emf control of DC motor

Hi all,

Has anybody done any work on bemf control on dc motor?

I'm looking for working circuits or ideas to extract the bemf from the H-bridge. Tried to design one but was not successful. Not as easy as it appears to be. Any help will be appreciated.

Regards
BengKiat
