Dan, great question. Haven't looked at it as yet but is on my list.
 
I think it will be a few days because I "broke" some pieces of that code because of some changes and need to fix some things that are higher priority first.

Hi BengKiat.
 
I reworked the tires a bit and while the spikes in the begining are still there, the ripple in the flat part of the curve is gone.
 
I've attached the step response with the mouse in the air (EncL'+EncR') and added the step response with the mouse on the ground (EncL'+EncR' Ground).
