Getting Started with Micromouse

Hi

Following a recent discussion at the TIC club, we wondered just what put 
people off developing a micromouse.

Leave aside any intrinsic lack of interest. I presume that if you read 
this, you are interested. So, if your have built a mouse and run it, 
what was the hardest part?
What made you carry on?
What would have put you off if you had known about it before starting?
What turned out easier than you thought?

If you have yet to build a micromouse, what is stopping you?
What would it take to get you past that hurdle and get started or 
complete your mouse?


We are more than just curious. There seems to be a bit of an upswing in 
interest in the UK competition and we want to build it up a bit more. 
Anyone got any ideas?

You can answer me off the list if you are shy. If I get enough (any) 
replies, I can summarize them here.
