RE: Acceleration profile of mice

Hi,

Most people use a linear profile as far as I can tell, especially with dc motors. The reason for this is that the grip provided by the tires is constant, so if your motors are powerful enough your mouse should be able to sustain a linear profile in a straight line run. However a few stepper motor mice sometimes find that its beneficial to reduce acceleration at higher speeds due to a significant reduction in torque.

Subject: Acceleration profile of mice

Hi,
I wondered what acceleration profile most mice are using.
Is linear acceleration the norm, or is anyone using something more elaborate like an e^x graph shape?
