Re: ROBOtic'05 : a new event
Hi Everyone,
This is a
request for rule clarification; I may need a new rule 3!
For the
drag race, can mice travel anticlockwise instead of clockwise? This would
allow left hand wall followers to compete fairly with right hand wall
followers.

Duncan

TIC has responded to requests to run an additional informal event that
includes classes for:
Maze Solvers : follow Micromouse rules (see 'The Rules' left)
Wall followers : follow Wall Follower rules (see 'The Rules'
left)
All-comers Drag Race ( see proposed rules below)
LEGO bots are welcome, and anything you have built that you want to
demonstrate!
DRAG RACE
The aim is to test the speed, acceleration, cornering and directional
control of 'mice' on a known course, under ideal conditions.
Proposed Drag Race rules
1. The course will use a full-size micromouse maze base, and will be an
enclosed rectangle of 16x16 cells, using standard micromouse walls and
posts.
2. The aim will be to complete the circuit in the fastest time
possible.
3. There will be no more than 2 rules.
Take a look at our web site for more details:

I expect to get a lot of mail!!

Tony
