RE: Competition Date for 2005
May/June is not a great time for schools. Years 11-13 (16-18yr olds)are all concentrating on their exams and are out on study leave so aren't around/willing to put time into something else. However, teachers tend to have a little more time freed up due to the loss of these classes to be around to supervise them working!
By July their exams are over, but then alot of schools have language exchanges that run during the last couple of weeks of term so some students may not be available then either. Plus Yr 11 and Yr 13 don't come back into school, so may have already booked holidays. Private schools presumably break up quite early for the summer, so this may not be convenient for them either.
I'm not really sure what is a good time for schools. The later in June the better? But having said that the science and maths Alevels are still going on this week - your potential competitiors?

relation to the rules, why not make the change to R13, and then adopt the APEC
