Re: MINOS BURSARIES
Hi Duncan,
You probably won't remember me, but you gave me invaluable advice last year
regarding my plans to introduce a Systems and Control GCSE course at my
school.
I am now running the course and I have two year 10 students who are very
keen to attend MINOS 2004 and would like to apply for the bursaries you are
offering for that purpose. They will be starting a year 10 micromouse
project in May and are currently working on the design of a small robot arm.
I can recommend them both as enthusiastic and motivated future micromousers
and I am sure that they will find MINOS fascinating and inspiring. I will
make every effort to attend myself this year and I look forward to meeting
you again.
Their names are Daniel Goldwater and Wiliam Duffus of Fortismere School,
Creighton Avenue, London N10 1NS. I can be contactd on my home email or at
rgarcia@fortismere.haringey.sch.uk
Regards,
Ricardo Garcia

Subject: RE: MINOS BURSARIES
Hi Everyone,
This is another reminder about the bursaries.
Swallow Systems will sponsor two students from the U.K. who want to go to
the conference for a fixed amount of £60.00 each. This covers the
attendance cost with a little for travelling.
ANYONE can apply, provided that they are in full-time education in the
U.K. In the event of more than two applicants, we will give preference to
students who have mice to run or who can make the best case. My decision
will be final.
We now have some interest in these bursaries, so I shall have to set some
dates. I shall award one of the bursaries next Friday (5/3/04) and the
closing date for the other one will be 19/3/04. GET YOUR APPLICATION IN
NOW!!
Regards,
Duncan
