S*d the rules, I compete in the open competition.

In case anyone hasn't noticed Michael Schumouser is too wide.  This does not seem to worry Dave Otten, but I am working on it!

If people do not want me to run Michael then I will only run it in the open competition, so people who are obsessed with rules can ignore what I am up to.  I reckon it is their loss.

The open competition only has 1 rule:  Any mouse that is damaging the maze can be removed by the first person to get to it.

I don't think we have so many mouse builders in the UK that we can afford to turn any away.  The real solution to the rules issue is to have multiple classes of prizes - if you want.  eg Open,  Less than 25cm, Schools, ...

Personally I think I win if Michael gets to the middle.  I also like looking at other peoples mice.  I judge mice on the basis of elegance or simplicity or courage, all elements not even considered by the rules.

So S*d the rules, just do the best you can.

(For non UK readers S*d could be interpreted as a fairly naughty word)
