Re: "standard" maze

Hi All

The idea of a fast mouse seems to be at least to be part of the audience
appeal of the micromouse event, so the
standard maze needs to be , in my opinion, a complete maze, with a little
of everything. I
for one would find a maze with a straight, a 90 degree turn (with or
without a bump) and then another straight to the finish, slightly boring,
especially with 10 mice all lined up to run it (even though I haven't
managed to produce a mouse that can do even the simple maze [yet!!])

I can understand Duncans comments regarding the cost, and the space a full
maze takes up, but then if we are going to the effort of building full
size mazes, why not make the extra effort to create something that is
interesting and appealling for all, mouser and non mousers, rather than
just for the my carbon carbon 128bit mouse is 0.000001 seconds faster this
year brigade....
