"standard" maze
Hi Everyone,
I am now contemplating building a new testing maze for my mice
(especially "clockwork" mouse). Has there been any movement on a "standard"
maze for next year's competition?
Assuming there hasn't, here are some thoughts.
Firstly, does this pattern:-

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

look enough like a maze with all walls fitted on your system? If so
we can all talk the same language about simplified mazes.
I think that the simplest maze that all current mice can run looks
something like this:
- -

- - - - - - -
| |
- - - - - - - -
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
| |
-
The question is, what has to be added to this to make it
sufficiently challenging?
I would like very much if we could agree what the "standard" maze
should look like before Christmas as that will be when I have some time to
do some mousing.

Duncan
