Re: AI and mice

I do like the idea of an AI based maze solver and would love to see one
working - not to mention getting some idea of how it worked.

The training sysytem should also be told who designed the maze. My records
show that different designers/countries produce very diferent mazes, so an AI
based mouse could gain a significant advantage.

As an example, it was well known in the 80's that John Billingsley designed
mazes where the best way to turn at the vast majority of junctions was away
from the middle. It is very hard to get a traditional maze solver to take
this into account in the exploration stage.
