I too would go for B then D then C

Perhaps a mini-lectures, demonstrations, problem-solving (fix-it) sessions

Here are some suggestions for subjects:

 - Choosing and finding motors
 - Sensor systems
 - odometry - speed and distance control
 - processor choice
 - maze solving

I guess not too much maths would be good too.

I would be interested in a session entitled 'Why mice fail'. There are many
ways to make them work and plenty of people out there who have seen lots of
mice run. It would be instructive to gather some observations on why some
mice don't succeed so that novice builders can avoid making mistakes that
would be 'obvious in hindsight'
